the elsewhere
I am different elsewhere, life is different elsewhere, and I feel freedom in the longing to be elsewhere. The practice of being elsewhere is an escape mechanism, a clouding of attention and loss of interest in the now and here.
The practice asks when being elsewhere stops being a distraction and instead, an opening where layering the virtual and the real allows the surfacing of unseen trajectories.
With that, the practice explores the shift from the body as an artefact towards the body engaged in an interplay with conditions surrounding it, invested in creating the elsewhere here and now.
The practice questions the Eastern European collective identity by wondering whether an obsessive daydreaming of greener grass elsewhere is a distraction from unhealed past traumas.
